Kazuramimba Catchment Conservation and Education (KACCE) is a voluntary non-profit organization founded by local community members and registered on October 9th, 2012 under Registration number KDC/CBO/051/2012, in accordance with the policy of non-governmental organizations. It operates in Uvinza district (formerly Kigoma district) in Kigoma region, in western Tanzania. KACCE works for and with all residents of Uvinza, regardless of age, ethnicity, disability, gender, color
nationality, religion or political affiliation, or social appurtenance. KACCE’s primary goal is to conserve the environment, improving the living conditions of local communities, promote gender equality, human rights, and the integration of community organizations through a participatory approach.

KACCE is a holistic program that supports educational initiatives in the hope of raising community awareness about the importance of environmental conservation. At the same time, KACCE also aims to equip community members with the technical knowledge necessary for the sustainable management of natural resources.
